The future can look bleak, so I created these clothing pieces to represent that. I made clothing that incorporated chains, belts, and armor. The fashion pieces were difficult to put on and restrictive, not conventional or convenient. A dystopian fashion show.
fig. 1 - This look resembles a straight jacket, symbolizing how trapped and hopeless the future can appear. It makes you feel crazy and powerless.
fig. 2 - The armor look is a reworked piece of old Lacrosse armor. It is meant to be what soldiers/guerillas in the future may use
fig. 3 - This look is a customized suit jacket, with chains keeping the user locked into their work wear.
fig. 4 - This look emulates the dangly piece of a pope’s robe, commentary on how the power of religion can be a source of hope.
